They all try to put down the black race, And they all just hang our heads and laugh in our face. All they say to black people are lies. They are all too busy to stop and hear our cries." "I disagree!" argued Harper Lee, "Not all white people think in that sense, Some even fight for the black people's defense. Many even try to help the black race, Even if it means putting themselves in disgrace. Not all white people are bad like you say, You should try looking at things in a different way." "From my views," claimed Langston Hughes, "All these hurtful injustices are felt through black eyes. You don’t ever see a white person getting dehumanized. Black people are the ones that get put in jail.
