Unprecedented Floods Hit Africa Millions have been displaced by recent floods that have hit Africa from Kenya to Senegal. An area the size of the United States has been affected. With the outbreak of diseases like Cholera, Malaria, Typhoid and Dysentery looming, the aftermath of the flood is expected to claim tens of thousands of lives. In addition to the diseases, staple food crops have been destroyed which is expected to result in widespread famine.
