Homework 2: BME 405, Fall 2010 Due: Friday September 24, 2010 (Date of received email should be before 09/24/2010, 11 59 pm) Please send your zipped homework assignments to [email protected] Send all vis zipped into one file named after your own name (johndoe_hw2.zip). Use free labels typed on the block diagrams to explain the operation of your vi. Include a description of all important controls and indicators (Use the description feature of LabVIEW) and a vi description . Exercise 1 (10points): Inspired from Problem P55 from chapter 5 in Bishop textbook. The program is designed to test the execution time of the formula node and the native labview functions. The program first calls the function tick count to get the initial tick time. Then, the program uses a while loop to generate a random number RN and calculate 20*sin(RN) + RN*RN + ln(RN/5). After each calculation, the program calls tick count again and stops when tick count has reached 10 seconds. The program outputs the value of the iteration terminal when the loop ends to represent how many iterations were run in 20 seconds. A switch on the front panel determines if the program uses the native labview functions or the formula node for the calculations. Run the program 5 times for each implementation and calculate the
