Slave Migration By: Nabeel 8E Slave Migration has known to be one of the most infamous “forced migrations”. Slave migration had begun around the 1500’s. American landowners needed people who would help them work on the farms and plantations. They needed people who wouldn’t take a lot of their money. Where would they find these kinds of people? There was one place were the Americans could find these kinds of people and that place was Africa. The Americans only picked black peoples to be their slaves. Back then if you were “white” you were most probably free to do anything you wanted, but if you were “black” you would be usually treated like an animal and you wouldn’t have any freedom rights. The slaves were brought by American slave ships. These ships weren’t very beautiful they lacked everything. They didn’t have any food, medicine etc. This would usually lead to a lot of deaths. Most of the slaves that were coming from Africa would have already died by the diseases that were on the ship. These ships were bringing more
