Unformatted text preview: Christina Suarez November 26, 2007 CAS353 Assignment #10: Buying a Personal Computer System When deciding what to buy or design in my new notebook, I followed the checklist. The checklist helped me figure out what type processor, what type of peripherals, and what programs to choose. Of course you need your basic components, as in hardware, but you also need to think about software. Most websites and reviews today recommend that you buy the home and office of Vista and the Student Microsoft Office programs. I also had to remember about the connection and how my computer was going to communicate with the internet. My computer is mostly going to be used for home and school use. That being said I had to remember to include the necessities for doing school work on it. That meant that I had to include the basics of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. You will need Access for organizing list and in your computer classes. Excel will definitely come in handy for managing your budget and helping with in your computer classes....
