Christina Suarez cas353 MW 5:30-6:45 December, the Month of Excitement During the month of December, people often think about Christmas and the upcoming New Year’s bashes. What people often forget is that a lot more has happened in December than people have believed. It is often said that the month of December is something to be remembered. On December 1 st , 1955, a little lady named Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white gentleman which sent our nation into a frenzy ultimately leading us into a revolution that changed our lives to this day (Marck). On that same day in 1906 Theodore Roosevelt became the first American to win the Noble Peace Prize for his heroic actions. The notorious Boston Tea Party was a big hit on the British Government on December 16 th , 1773. In 1620, the Pilgrims first landed in Plymouth and began our civilization of the west. There were many accomplishments outside of political issues and government actions. In 1972, NASA made a huge leap with the launch of Apollo 17
