Bear, Acct 425, 7-2 2. It looks as though there may have been two checks written for the same bill as there are two checks for the same amount, with the same date, to the same payee. The payee may have received one check and then when they received the second check they may have sent it back or shredded it due to double payment. This is why the second check never cleared
