Role of Corticosterone in Trace and Delay Conditioned Fear-Potentiated Startle in Rats Michael A. Burman, Kathryn L. Hamilton, and Jonathan C. Gewirtz University of Minnesota Hypothesis: in this study, researchers tried to find the role of Corticosterone in trace and delay conditioned fear-potentiated startle in rats. Participants: In this experiment eighty-five male albino Charles River-derived Sprague– Dawley rats, weighing between 250 and 400 g were used. Results: only trace fear conditioning was impaired.
