Written Assignment 2 After reading the first five chapters in The Career Fitness Program and completing the activities at the end of each chapter, please answer the following questions: What is the difference between a job and a career? The difference between a job and a career. A career is a life lasting building process, that while you may change positions or locations you are building something. A career symbolizes a passion, something a person is inclined to and pursues. A job is something you do for a set amount of time, usually for money. Lacking emotional investment and rarely build upon. How does this relate to your own career plans? I am changing my life to include a career of a passion. I enjoy science and many facets of science. Environmental science has a particular interest. Environmental science has come to the forefront on a world level and we can all learn so much from each other in this area. However, my career plans have changed to include many of my strengths and interests. What is your current life stage? I am currently enjoying “the turning point years”. These last couple and next few have included some dynamic changes with children going off to college and me taking a long look at who I am and what I want. I’ve dedicated myself to the path of Environmental science as a result of these turning point years and am
