Medical Initiative Against Homelessness (MIAH) Email: [email protected] APPLICANT INFORMATION 2010-2011! Welcome the Medical Initiative Against Homelessness (MIAH). MIAH is a group at the UCI School of Medicine that is focused on addressing public health and medical issues within the community. We work closely with the Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA), the public health department for Orange County, and community organizations to provide services for the large homeless population in the area. MIAH is involved in a variety of projects, including a mobile van clinic, food nutrition advocacy, fundraising and grant writing, promoting health through exercise, and a tutoring/mentoring program. We are looking for dedicated undergraduates to help build and expand our services throughout the entire academic year .
