Make sure you verify the assumption you make about the operating region of the MOSFET. You are given R D = 10k , V DD = 15V, V T = 1V, and K = 0.5mA/V 2 . Figure 1 2. Consider the circuit shown in Figure 2, which is used to charge the capacitor. Before t = 0, the gate voltage V G is 0V but at t = 0 it switches to 5V. Also, before t = 0, the capacitor is storing no energy. You are given R = 200 , C = 200 μ F, V S = 12V, V T = 2V, and K = 2mA/V 2 . a. Find the drain-to-source voltage V DS right before and right after the gate voltage switches from 0V to 5V. b. At what time does the MOSFET cease operating in the saturated region? (Hint: the dynamics of this circuit are not necessarily first-order.)
