Unformatted text preview: TIPS FOR CRACKING THE AP ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND COMPOSISITION EXAM The Night Before: Get to sleep early. Set alarm giving yourself plenty of time to shower (wake you up). Layout your clothes/ materials the night before the test. That Morning: Breakfast will be served in rooms 1300/1301 from 6:45-7: 30. Report to the library at 7:30. Empty out prior to the test so you dont waste valuable time during the test. Multiple Choice Section Strategies: RELAX. Pace yourself. There will be 5-7 passages followed by 5-12 questions. Dont spend too much time on a hard passage. Mark it and move on. Read for the big picture/main idea. Look for the authors tone, point of view. Read around the lines that direct you to a specific word/line for context clues. Use a 2-pass system: Answer the easy questions you can easily answer first. Circle or put a?
