DRAFT E-Government Strategy 1 PURPOSE In 2001, President Bush initiated several government reform efforts, collectively known as the President’s Management Agenda (PMA), to make the Federal government more results- oriented, efficient and citizen-centered. One element of the PMA is Expanding Electronic Government. This document describes the E-Government achievements since February 2002 (the issuance date of the previous E-Government Strategy), the challenges facing E- Government leaders in 2003 and 2004, and the strategy to address these challenges. In addition, it includes detailed information about the initial set of 24 cross-agency E-
