Instead of a nice Blue Flame you ve got a Yellow, wavering Olympic Flame. What s wrong? A. You re seeing a ~700C Premixed Flame because someone has closed-off the Air Vent at the Bottom of your Bunsen Burner. You should open the Vent until you get a Diffusion Flame with a ~1000C inner Cone of deep Blue and a ~1200C pale, outer Cone of light Blue. B. You re seeing a ~900C Premixed Flame because someone has fully opened the Air Vent at the Bottom of your Bunsen Burner. You should close the Vent until you get a Diffusion Flame with a ~1200C inner Cone of deep Blue and a ~1000C pale, outer Cone of light Blue. C.
