Home Language Information You need to find out as much as you can about this student’s use of his/her home language. These questions are meant to guide you in this process. Please know that this list is not exhaustive. If you discover other information that you feel is relevant, please include it. These questions address the minimal requirements for this section of the literacy assessment. 1. What other languages are spoken in the home? How do you know this? What is your evidence? 2. Has this student ever been schooled in a language other than English?
