Theatre Opening mini-skit (example) o 1 st  moment Waiting for professor to say or do something and wondering what  the hell is she doing standing at the back of the room (not theatre –  no actors or stage presence) o 2 nd  moment Girl standing and looking at the power point and we were looking at  her (when she came on stage she became a character/performer  and we watched her) o 3 rd  moment We listened as the actors had dialogue (second actor created  dialogue and interaction amongst themselves and we observed  them) Theatre o performance that places human experience before a group of people –  an audience – in the present moment (working definition of theatre) o For theatre to happen, two groups of people, actors and audience, must  come together at a certain time in a certain place o One of the most immediate ways of experiencing another’s concept of life  – of what it means to be human Theatre’s Aliveness
