Everyman Plot o Everyman is told of his death to come and wants to repent o Journey towards death and attempt to avoid hell and be clean in God’s  eyes o Every man is eventually called before god and thus should look to end of  his life even as he begins it initial sins at young age will eventually cause soul to weep Exposition Conflict o If Everyman can be cleansed of his sins o Meet God and not be summoned to hell o The things he put value in initially were not there for him in the end but  only non-materialistic and unearthly values such as “Good Deeds” Suspense o Whether Everyman will reach heaven and everlasting life or be cursed to  everlasting damnation in hell Rising action o Everyman travels along journey to meet God and repent and come to  accounts with God o Calls upon friends along the way who either refuse to go, or, after talking  with Knowledge, some join (Beauty, Strength, Five-Wits, Goods, etc) but  leave him at end still

Climax o When Good Deeds agrees to enter afterlife with Everyman Falling action Movement Setting o The action begins in heaven when God speaks from heaven and sends Death to summon the main character, Everyman. Thereafter, the action takes place on earth. Since the author intended the main character to represent every human being, the action on earth could take place anywhere
