Supporting  a Position      I have thought about this topic before. I believe I have a  different point of view, because I have been in prison. Please  do not take me wrong, this is not something I am proud of. I  have seen the way the criminal system works from the inside. I  have met inmates who were sentenced to death by lethal  injection. I have also met several inmates who were sentenced to  life in prison without the possibility of parole.      The punishment of death for crimes is something many  criminals adjust to, and deal with. I believe this is not so  much different from being told a person has an incurable  disease. People adjust to dying rather quickly. There are many  people in prison whom will spend the rest of their natural lives  there. In many ways this is much harder to deal with than death.  These people will see many people they are acquainted with leave
