ASTM C 1252-03 Standard Test Methods for Uncompacted Void Content of Fine Aggregate Equipment Cylindrical Measure Funnel and stand Glass plate Pan Metal spatula Scale Sampling 190 grams of fine material from the stockpile Procedures 1. Mix the samples until they are homogeneous. 2. Place a finger over the hole in the funnel, and pour the material into the funnel. 3. Level the material in the funnel with a spatula. 4. Remove your finger and let the material fall 5. Once the funnel is empty, scrape excess material off cylinder with one pass of the spatula. DO NOT SHAKE THE CONTAINER!
