Chapter 9 Study Guide 1. Array- is a collection of fixed number components, wherein all the components are the  same data type 2. One dimensional array-is an array in which the components are arranged in a list form. 3. Ways to declare an array a. Int list[]; b. Int  alpha[] 4. Array components  a. arrayName[indexExp] 5. Index- is expressions whose value is non negative integer less than the size of the array  and when an array is first create the indexes are set to 0. 6. Array subscripting operator-[] a. Int[] list = new int [10] 7. Specifying array size a. Int arraySize b. System.out.print(“Enter the size of the array: “); c. arraySize = console.nextInt(); d. System.out.println(); e. Int[] list = new int[arraySize]; 8. Array initialization a. Double [] sales = {12.25,32.50,16.90,23,45.68} 9. Initial values- values placed between braces and separated by commas  10. Instance variable length-contains the size of the array
