COM 3058 The Ethics of Image Making Professor Alison Griffiths Group Project on Image Ethics Logistics : Each group should select explore an issue relating to the ethics of image making and present it in a 15 minute group project to the class. The topic is wide open but must address some aspect of the image ethics; in selecting a topic, try and be as original as possible. As you can imagine, topics such as the digital manipulation of photographs has been done to death. Less sexy, but often really excellent, are topics that are historical in nature so think back to what we’ve covered so far in class or an event/scandal/issue from the past that could make for an excellent presentation case study. Structure of Presentation : On a designated day, each group will deliver a presentation on their selected case study. Preparation for the presentation (which can, though need not, include PowerPoint) must be done outside of class. This can be done either by meeting at a mutually convenient time or via email.
