and this will allow me to quickly locate and identify emails pertaining to the class and to more quickly respond to your messages. Emails not containing this text in the subject line will not receive a response. The best time to contact me by email is between the hours of 12:00 and 5:00, Monday – Friday. Any email sent outside those times may receive a less prompt response, but I will strive to respond to all emails in a timely fashion. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or comments you may have. I also expect you to check your email at least once a day. Any changes to course content or schedule, including changes to reading assignments and test dates, will be announced via email. I will attempt to provide as much advanced warning as possible, but I consider 24 hours to be sufficient – so check your email often! Office Hours: Although email is a very efficient means of communication, some questions are best asked in person. I will hold weekly office hours on Wednesday’s from 11:00 – 12:00 (immediately after class). I encourage you to take advantage of my office hours and to stop by if you have any questions about the course. I will make every effort to answer your questions over email, but there is really no substitute for direct instruction. You may also call me during my office hours if you wish to speak to me but cannot make it in person. The number for my office is (850) 645 – 7409. While I’m happy to talk to you on the phone without advance notice, it would be in your best interest to email me ahead of time to set up an appointment. That way you can be assured that I won’t be meeting with another student when you make your call. Lastly, if you’re technologically inclined, I’ll be making use of Google
