Abstract Modernization and socialization run hand in hand. Mankind has been modernizing itself since the invention of tools and the wheel. Whenever there has been a need to create something bigger or better mankind has done its best to do so. With the modernization comes change, and not all change is for the better, negative consequences are a part of all change. Modernization can and does affect everything around including other countries, and societies. Modernization can affect societies without people even knowing it. One thing can be guaranteed is that modernization will continue as long as humans populate the earth and that good and negative consequences will continue to follow the good of each modernization that is implemented. 2

Modernization is thought of as a characteristic of the development and or advancing of technology. This form of advancement or modernization can come in many forms, from electronics, buildings, planes, to cars, and advancement and or update of anything is a type of modernization. Since the formation of societies, people experience industrialization and urbanization as well as other social changes due to modernization. These changes can and have brought the transformation of the lives of these populations. As modernizations continue to advance, society will have no options other than to change with it. Modernization had brought forth all of mankind’s advancements, including medications and techniques that have improved healthcare, not only in the U.S. but in many countries world-wide. The modernization of new and better technologies, as in the advancement of the computer, from huge industry style machines to small hand held devises that allow people everywhere to be aware of dangers in their vicinity to instant news flashes of tragic deaths around the world, due to mankind or acts of nature. There are those who look at the law of equal opportunity as the betterment of society by being sure that everyone, despite color, race, or religion, has the opportunity for the same positions in any field of work. While there are other people feel that this type of social modernization eliminates the jobs that would have otherwise belonged to someone with more qualifications and or seniority. And although this began as a highly disputed form of modernization, after time societies adapted for the overall betterment of their communities.
