Soc 120 week 3 DQ2 During my brothers young years he had to deal more greatly with the divorce of our parents and my mothers remarriage since he was older. He took on the role of big brother in a greater standard at that time, being protector and helper when we were all little. As we grew we did not need this protection, he never had many friends, although he tried to fit in where ever he could, he had terrible acne and was never really accepted. Because of this lack of socialization he began to use drugs and steal to make himself seem bigger in the eyes of the few friends that he head, then he began to deal again to make himself appear as if he was better than others. Unformatted text preview: was no longer a big guy but small unfitting like when he was a teenager, when he came out he boasted that he became the one everyone went to for things, he had found a way to make himself big again. But out he was small again and went back to his old ways of dealing to be big. From what I see is that because he did not have good peer groups and had to find ways to make himself important this lack of peer groups molded him into thinking he had to always feel important or do things that made people think he was important and come to him for things they needed or wanted....
