1. Why should prevention professionals be able to provide general information about ATOD and their effects? I feel that it is very important that prevention professionals be able to provide general information in regards to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs and their effects because being educated on the effects and being able to share them with others is a good tool in prevention. It is important to know the effects of the drugs within the categories as well as the symptoms of overdose, withdrawal symptoms, tolerance and the short and long term effects of use.
