(Note: Turn in grade Critical Reading Assignment, including photocopied article) Purpose In this assignment, you will re-read the same article assigned in the Critical Reading Assignment, but this time you will evaluate the strength of scholar’s argumen t through critical analysis. This will teach you how to avoid being overpowered by scholars’ arguments, to think critically about them, and to form and express your own opinion after weighing others’ assertions and evidence. Part I - Identifying and Labeling the Problems of Argumentation In this assignment, you will pay attention to those parts of the scholar’s argument that were not convincing to you for a variety of possible reasons.
