What is the sequence of the intact polypeptide? CNBr treatment Chymotrypsin treatment (1) Arg-Ala-Tyr - Gly-Asn (4) Met- Arg-Ala-Tyr (2) Leu-Phe -Met (5) Asp-Met - Leu-Phe (3) Asp-Met (6) Gly-Asn CNBr cleaves to the right of Met residues and chymotrypsin cleaves to the right (R n-1 ) of Phe, Trp, Tyr but not to the left (R n ) of Pro. Note (1) doesn’t have a Met at the C-term so it must be the C- term. Note overlap of (4)&(1), (2)&(5), (6)&(1)
