Chapter 5 1) The system that we are proposing is an in-house developed system. We feel that it will be more beneficial to implement an in-house system because in the end there will only be a primary initial cost. The reason for this is because with a purchased system you (New Century Health Clinic) will have long term costs in order to keep the system running. To purchase a system will require a long-term service contract and would require for payment over three (3) years. If decided the in-house system will allow for customization of the system rather then trying to conform the rigid purchased system to meet the needs of New Century. Some of the tangible costs are:
