Hensley English 1301-8425 22 June 2009 Cindi’s New York Deli and Bakery Restaurant Cindi’s New York Deli and Bakery restaurant is located on North Central Expressway between Forest Lane and Royal Lane. It has been here in Dallas for almost twenty years and becoming one of the most favorite places for American people and Jewish families to dine. Cindi’s has become well known due to the amazingly successful story of a Vietnamese owner, the big variety of authentic food and the cozy environment. Anh Tran, the successful owner of Cindi’s, is admired by all of her customers with her true life experience. Anh and her husband left Vietnam in a small boat in the 1970s. They endured a dangerous ocean voyage without knowing their fate for the future. As they arrived in a new country, America, they were facing inevitable obstacles. They were penniless with no family and friends. They also did not know the language and had difficult time to assimilate into American culture. She worked many tough jobs and finally ended up starting her own business. It took her many years to become a food expert on the Southern and Kosher style. With her patience, she keeps learning something everyday and seek inspirations from her customers to improve herself.
