Camille French Ms. Hensley English 1301 Section 8423 12 June 2009 The Victory Pass A picture captures a second in a lifetime. After a rigorous class, the judges had decided upon the riders who would proceed to the final rounds. Numbers were called and then suddenly, mine was called. I jumped in shock, glanced at my family’s supportive expressions and received my ribbon. I was off for my victory pass; the camera flashed and my picture stands as one of the happiest moments in my life. My horse, Casablanqua, is a black Arabian mare with two white socks that shine against the beige shavings of the arena floor. Her veins bulge from the intensity of the class and the sweat stands as a reminder of her devotion.

At the moment of my victory pass picture, I was completely happy and unified with my horse. Memories always come rushing to me whenever I see that picture....
