Unformatted text preview: Week 4 Lecture Sociology 1 Session 4: Social Inequality I Particularly in the summer session, Foothill draws a lot of students from various 4 year institutions across the land who are looking to come and pick up a quick summer credit course for transfer to wherever they are at during the usual academic year- College of Notre Dame, Stanford, UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, CSU Chico, University of Arizona, NYU, and Brown University are some that I have had students from for the summer. And so I always ask them what their educational experience is like at these places. And they tell me that they like the fact the some of their profs deliver a really great, thought-provoking course, but that often the classes can be quite large, the atmosphere is often impersonal, they can't find their professors, they deal mostly with TA's and that the tuition is out of this...
