Analyzing Messages 2 Analyzing Messages Communication is the most vital element within businesses. Today, unlike the past there are various ways companies, and organizations choose to communicate. In times of the past communication was face to face, or over the telephone. Today technology has taken over the market and given organizations various methods of communication. These methods can include email, faxes, videoconferencing, etc. The main focal point of this paper will be communicating through email. The writer will choose three business emails that he has received, and analyze each of them. The writer will identify the sender, describe the intended purpose of the email, rate the quality of the message, and define the technology used to send the message. The writer will then give his opinion on whether or not this was the appropriate communication method, and if not which communication method would have been a better choice. The last part of this paper will be a response to one of the emails chosen. The writer will use direct and effective writing skills to respond to the chosen organizations email. Communication Model The communication model described within the University of Phoenix (UOP) appendix A describes a basic communication model of sender, technology used, and receiver. Every communication as described by appendix A needs to have the following: 1. Environment 2. Sender or Encoder 3. A message with content, words, and images
