Creating Alliances Creating alliances with stakeholders is a necessity with any organization. An alliance is defined as a merging of efforts or interests by persons, families, states, or organizations (Dictionary.com, 2010). When creating alliances organizations big and small must take the internal and external stakeholders interests into consideration. A stakeholder is anyone who stands to lose or gain in accordance with the organizations loss or gain (Dictionary.com, 2010). An internal stakeholder is an employee, partner, owner, etc. An external stakeholder is suppliers, customers, competition, etc. Organizations must use critical strategies to form alliances with both of these stakeholders. Strategies Organizations use various strategies to gain the alliances of the people that matter most, the stakeholders. The process in any organization is keeping the internal stakeholders happy. These stakeholders either make or break the organization. A great way for an organization to keep these stakeholders content is by listening to what they have to say. Within the scenario of
