Music
speaks what can’t be expressed
,
Soothes the mind
and
gives it
rest,
Heals
the heart
& makes
it whole,
Flows
from heaven to the soul

Important note on the “Rock and Roll” and “Rock” resources…
Rock & Roll was just too influential in the history of American music to
limit to a single lesson, so I split it into two.
The “
Rock & Roll
” resource focuses on the advent of Rock & Roll in the
1950s when music became more about the performance than the
recording (e.g. Elvis shaking his hips, Chuck Berry working the guitar,
Jerry Lee Lewis abusing the piano, Little Richard, Buddy Holly, etc.).
The “
Rock
” resource covers what many of us now refer to as "classic
rock", focusing more on the 1960s with artists like the Beatles, Zepplin,
the Stones, Clapton, Hendrix, Joplin, the Doors, etc.).
