2 Outline Diversity Action Plan Outline of Boeing I. Introduction A. With populations of diverse societies on the rise companies such as Boeing must develop action plans that try to conform to the different cultures that they may employ, or come into contact with. B. Boeing a company that is recognized around the world for being the leading producer of commercial jetliners and military aircraft combined employs over 157, 000 people in more than 70 different countries, thus making it one of the most divers company’s worldwide (Boeing.com, 2010). II. Population Trends A. In 1804 the world population was a mere one billion people, just one hundred and twenty three years later that population doubled in size, in 1987 sixty years later the population was at five billion, and just twelve years later in 1999 the population was at six billion ( www.globalchange.umich.edu , 2006). B. With rapid rising numbers in the population Boeing will have to keep a close eye on their Action plans. Projections are that the population will rise to an
