The is the resultof 2 federal initiatives: section 287(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act and the Secure Communities program.3.Target Population:Immigrant Hispanics/Latinos in North CarolinaSampling strategy:(Qualitative) Non-random, Purposive- Local community-based organizations in each county helped torecruit participants for both the focus groups and the in-depth interviews through purposive sampling approaches to ensure abroad spectrum of participants.Eligibility criteria were being aged 18 years or older, self- identifying as Hispanic or Latino,speaking Spanish, and living in the county in which we held the focus group or interview.
