Reubin Sabu Partner: Gary Daigle Chem Lab 117-517 EXPERIMENT #2: Aqueous Solutions and Solution Stoichiometry SUMMARY: The purpose of experiment #2 was to examine the behavior of strong, weak and non- electrolytes by measuring the electrical conductivity of different solutions. The results of this experiment should allow us to have a better understanding of what is in different solutions. In Part A of this experiment, we tested the conductivity of several solutions to determine what types of electrolytes are within the solution. We did this by submerging a conductivity probe into various solutions and using the LoggerPro program to gather the measurements. In Part B, we tried to find the equivalence point of Ba(OH)2to determine the concentration of a solution in a process called titration. We did this by adding small increments of H2SO4 to Ba(OH)2 until the conductivity began to fall to reach its equivalence point and began to rise back up. We started by adding just 1.0 M of H2SO4 and continued to do so until
