Oxford University Press, USA; 3 edition (February 2, 2007) Introducing the New Testament . Mark Allen Powell. Course Description: REL 1005: NEW TESTAMENT involves a scholarly study of the Christian Testament, known and the 'New Testament'. The course will examine the New Testament by way of the 'historical-critical' method. Lectures by the instructor will parallel student readings in the required texts. There is the possibility of a quiz every day; therefore students should be completely familiar with the material assigned. The daily syllabus below is an APPROXIMATION. Changes to the daily syllabus will be announced in class.
