After going over the readings, in my opinion, I do not think that the United States government should favor certain kinds of immigrants. I believe that everyone should be held to the same standards as the next person. Not only is it unfair to give special privileges, but who is to say that one person’s needs or reasons are more important than another? If citizenship is given based on need, talent, or economic stance then I would could consider that to be prejudice and judgmental. No matter what the reason, immigrants mainly want to be here in the United States to create a better life for themselves and their family. Who wouldn’t respect and want the
