Applications 2 Hints As you know there are three parts to this assignment. Part A is first asking for the number of degrees of freedom (df) being asked in the exercise description. Remember that df = n – 1, where n is the number of categories. Then we need to identify the critical value for this exercise, and the critical value is the same as where we reject Ho.
