COURSE OBJECTIVE: This is an overview course to demonstrate the importance of ethical considerations in the administration of organizations. The course will introduce students to the principles of ethical practices in the context of organizational management. This course is designed to give undergraduate students a strong conceptual and practical knowledge of business ethics. This course will provide students with both expectations of the Faculty and the professional world while exploring the personal basis for ethical decision making. The course will provide opportunities for ethical practices through case studies. REQUIRED MATERIALS: Sexty, R. 2009. Canadian Business and Society: Ethics & Responsibilities (1st Ed). Toronto: McGraw-Hill Ryerson. SUPPLEMENTAL READINGS: Other relevant readings will be posted on the URCourses site or referenced in class. These will be helpful for fuller understanding of the subject matter and in-class discussions. As well, I invite you to submit articles you find interesting to me so they may be posted and shared.
