The aim of the experiment : - is to locate equipotential lines and draw the electric field lines around a number of electrode arrangements. Method used : - by determining the points that have the same potential inside a water container. Main results: Results can be observed on the graphs . Theory: If an electric charge moves along lines perpendicular to an electric field, the work done on it by the electric field is zero where the work is given by: W=Fdcosθ. We call these lines equipotential lines, which have a potential difference equal to zero.
