What we know, how we can know it -The different disciplines have different knowledge’s based on different histories and how people view it. (example: Freud on the Nuclear Family that he believed to be true to all families but it is not necessarily true) “what most people think is true may not be the whole truth.” -Epistomoly and knowledge production politically important (Marxist’s theory of ideology) -Marx and Ideology and Epistomoly a. Ideology: Is a product of knowledge production. System of accepted beliefs and values which we believe to be true. b. World view and assumptions of ruling class are inforced into the working class through propoganda and etc. c. ruling class status has everything to do with what knowledge is believed to be true and accepted. -Marx’s theory has important epistomolical value which questions ruling class values. -Bias and power create ideology working class cannot see where their ideology is flawed. - The Workers!! Proletariat ->own life experiences can debunk the upper class world view on society. It can CONTRADICT CAPITALIST IDEOLOGY
