What is the relationship between the image of the divided line and the story about the cave? several posts on topic: 1. I have come to my sense that the analogy of the cave portrays things we imaginably see might not be the truth. In Plato’s comparison with the cave, in which the prisoners were chained and they only see images project on the wall not knowing what really are those images. A person’s mind can have a big impact to whatever he sees or imagines. It is really important to know the truth or the root of something than just hearing them by ears or seeing them without really knowing what is being showed or presented, for these don’t tell us whether they are real or fake. So it is really important for a person to explore the world or study and not just sit on the coach to really know what is going on around them. By exploring and asking questions will increase knowledge. I am kind of confused about the image of the divided line, is this how our brains measure from slow IQ to a high IQ? I think this is where the map of our brain can be found. 2.
