Question 3 : Assume that you are Lisa Johnson and complete Exhibit 1. How would you rate James’ performance using the scorecard? Justify your ratings. When using this performance scoreboard as a performance appraisal to rate James for last year you must objectively and/or subjectively look at each section and decide whether James is below par, at par, or above par. The overall evaluation takes into account all the sub category scores and, in our opinion, a little bit of personal information towards how you feel James has performed. The financial area of the performance scoreboard is probably the most objective dimension of the entire system. It is clear that James has performed above par through each quarter and has satisfied all the requirements in order to achieve this highest mark. He continues to out perform all his peers in these areas, showing consistent improvement on a while already performing well ay above the others.
