Weekly Responses # 5 Social Deviance on Film “Jesus Camp” Due via E-mail 6 pm 2-14-08 Think about your cultural biases as you answer each of the questions below and  remember, behaviors that are deviant in one culture may be conventional behaviors in  another 1. Do you think the film provides an objective view of Evangelical Christians? Explain why  or why not?  No I do not think it was an objective view of Evangelicals.  I know that evangelicals tend to  be a more radical group of people then by normal standards, but the people in this film were  out of control.  People not wanting to send their kids to public school because they teach  evolution? That doesn’t make any sense 2. What kinds of deviance did  you  perceive to be shown in the film?  I think what the people in this movie do is complete deviance.  They go against societies  norms; they teach opinions as facts and totally demean others.  While they may not be
