Have you ever lived or traveled in another country? Unfortunately I have never lived or traveled to another country outside of North America. Growing up in a middle class Arizona home the opportunity to travel abroad never presented itself. Even knowing that, compared to most of my friends from home I have practically traveled the world. Many people in Arizona where I grew up didn’t get a chance to go out of state for college like I have. Coming to Washington DC to continue my education was the first big step I took to have my own new experiences, different from most of my peers at home. I’ve always wanted to travel abroad, and now that I have the chance I must not let it pass me by. It is scary and you have to take many risks, but these are the challenges I want to face to grow as a person. This opportunity is rich in possibilities and is too great to pass up. I consider myself a fairly well rounded person except for my lack of world culture knowledge. I’m curious to see how things are different in others countries. I want to travel and explore many different countries and cultures. London is the perfect home culture for me to explore. While their culture is quite different, sharing a common language will help me adjust to life abroad. London will also serve as an easy hub for me to travel other sights in Europe.
