Every Physical Action Aferent – Take in information Eferent – exit information from central nervous system to peripheral nervous system Autonomic Messages to vital Organs Involuntary behaviors Body Self regulates 1. Heart/pulse/respiration 2. Digestion 3. Pupil Dilation 4. Perspiration 5. Body Waste Autonomic Two Divisions 1. Sympathetic Fight or flight Releases stress hormones Glucose 2. Parasympathetic Homeostasis – tries to get the body back in balance. It is what calms us down. Endocrine System – Glands that communicate throughout the body, release of hormones throughout the body.
