Legal When considering entering the United States market Emmaljunga must consider many factors that affect its desired mode of entry. There are certain regulations and policies that must be adhered to in order for their product to be legally accepted to enter the US stroller market. Emmaljunga must weigh the costs of adhering to these standards in its decision on how to enter the market. These factors for strollers include: Intellectual Property rights protection, packaging and labeling requirements, safety regulations, entry mode policies, and pricing regulations. Patents for strollers based on policies approved by United States Patent and Trademark office details the guidelines for stroller’s production approval. US Patent 6607200 outlines exactly the requirements companies must meet to for basic stroller approval. These restrictions do not include safety policies, another factor of entry, but mostly generic concepts of what the device must provide. For example one restriction is the new companie’s stroller must be similar to current stroller prototypes.
