HUSV 374 Week 1: Getting Started This guide is designed to prepare you for this on line course and outline the assignments for the first week.. If you have taken on line courses prior to this course, you will still need to read and complete the following. Your assignments for the first week are outlined below. While you will write your first response paper and take a quiz, your main focus for this time frame is to get acquainted with the materials and the main website we will be using for this course. The following is a list of tasks to help you accomplish this. Buy the Textbook. Bowe, F.G. Early Childhood Special Education Birth to Eight. (4 th ed) Using Desire to Learn (D2L): Please note, if you are familiar with D2L, get into D2L and go to steps 2, 3 and 4. 1. Go to www.D2L.arizona.edu The opening page has information on how to access D2L. Once you are able to get into your D2L, and if you have not taken an on line course before, go the the D2L help page, select student, and learn how to use the content, drop box, quiz, and discussion features of D2L. 2. Get into the course through D2L. Complete your profile under “My Settings” in D2L. I especially need you to enter a phone number so I could reach you.
